Dear Eliza,
Two years ago, you made us a Mommy and a Daddy. We also became better people because of you. Our hearts were split open bursting with love--for you, for each other, for our parents. Because it's only when you become a parent that you can truly understand your own.
Watching you grow and learn the past two years has been the highlight of our lives. Every day, 730 in all so far, we cherish our time with you and eagerly anticipate your smiles, giggles, words, and snuggles. Even when you test our patience, we've never wanted to change a thing.
On this birthday, and all to come, we celebrate you--our inquisitive, funny, and loving baby girl! We also celebrate and remember that on your birthday, June 3, 2011, we were given the absolute best gift.
