Two Year House Anniversary

April 28, 2013 marked our two anniversary of the date we signed the closing papers for our house!  Here is how we celebrated in past years: http://familyrom.blogspot.com/2012/04/one-year-ago.html.  This year, we again ordered our Fox's pizza and attempted, but failed, to get a good family shot.  Bummer!  But at least I remembered to take a picture of the pizza (so thrilling!).

We haven't posted a house-related post in quite awhile, and actually do have a few things to share in coming days/weeks!  Last fall/winter we completely finished our basement and have been enjoying it for 4+ months now.  It still needs some finishing touches, but is a great space.  We also have completely overhauled our front landscaping, though we have more plans to make the front curb appeal even better.  Finally we have spent efforts to redecorate the living/kitchen/great room, as well as decorating the master bedroom finally! 

As far as for the future, we are kicking the idea around of replacing our living room carpet with much nicer carpet, and replacing the office carpet with the laminate flooring in our downstairs.  Another big project we are considering is adding new cabinetry in the kitchen, including a corner cabinet unit and a floor to ceiling microwave cabinet that would help clearly delineate the end of the dining area and start of the kitchen.  All of these projects are still in the "just considering" stages, but are definitely on our "want" list.

Two years is the longest period we have ever lived in one place (as a married couple).  It is so comforting knowing that we don't have to move again anytime soon and are in a house we love--and love to improve.
