29 months!

This past month was pretty low key, except for one major milestone:  potty training!  Eliza is now officially potty trained (during waking hours--we'll tackle naps and nighttime later).  It's nice to not buy diapers anymore, and she is very proud of herself.  It was rough going (we did the 3-day method; boot-camp, I like to call it), but she handled it well.  One downside is anytime we go to a restaurant or someone new, Eliza wants to go to the potty over and over and over again!  Last night at dinner we went 6 times.  At this point, we're not going to tell her no and risk an accident in public!

Now that Eliza is talking up a storm, it's more difficult to measure her advances.  She uses pronouns and sentences, and has a huge vocabulary.  We're working on getting her to be more verbal when upset or frustrated.  She's counting and getting much better at this.

She's still teeny!  Now that she isn't in diapers, we're getting some extra life out of some leggings that were seemingly too tight.  We go back to her doctor for a well-check in December to keep tabs on her growth.

Favorite things:  Princess movies, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, stickers, painting, tickling Mommy or Daddy, peas (still), snuggling before bedtime on our bed, M&Ms after using the potty, gymnastics, and dance.

Dislikes:  Sharing, the cold, when Mommy or Daddy use the iPad, wearing shoes or socks in the car.

One bummer this month was that we didn't get to go Trick or Treating.  It overlapped with dance class when the night was changed because of inclement weather.  She honestly didn't know the difference except that we know she would have had fun!  Her costume was originally supposed to be Red Hiding Hood, but Princesses Belle and Cinderella won the day!  Thankfully we attended a community event one night and she had a daycare party so she could wear costumes then.  Otherwise it was great!

We're looking forward to the rest of fall, Thanksgiving, and going into Christmas season!  Fun times ahead!
