26 Months Old!

On August 3, Eliza was 26 months old.  No matter how many times we ask the universe to slow time down, it doesn't listen!  :)  Here's an overdue update.  Pictures from 8/4/13.

Eliza's still our tiny girl, but is getting taller!  Dresses and pants are definitely getting shorter on her.  She's still wearing a size 4 diaper and we are getting closer to the start of true potty training!  She likes wearing her undies, but doesn't quite understand the difference yet.  :)

 Eliza is more verbal than ever!  We had a BIG development during this month--she started saying YES!  This has made life much easier for Mommy & Daddy.  It was pretty funny that she can speak in pretty complicated sentences, but would never say Yes or Yeah in response to a question.  She also knows her letters and is working on number recognition.

 Eliza loves to swing and slide.  She is an avid colorer (markers are a big favorite) and enjoys her princess castle toy.  She's still very into her stuffed friends, specifically her teddy, Minnie Mouse, Elmo, and Chica.  Eliza still enjoys watching Cinderella, with Thomas & Friends a close second.

 Eliza is showing her independence by wanting to help dress herself and/or pick out her clothes (at the very least showing disapproval of our choices!).  It's fun to see this participation!

 Eliza was never a very cuddly baby--she was always on the go--but in the past several months she has become more and more loving, cuddly, and sweet.  (How could she get sweeter?!)  Obviously, we love this.

Being Eliza's parents is more fun than we could ever have imagined.  Though we sometimes have trying moments, she is generally so easy going, a good listener, and just an amazing little girl.  We're so so blessed!
