A Year's Worth of Weeks

Eliza's first birthday is on Sunday, but as Friday (today) she is 52 weeks old--a year's worth of full weeks!

On this day of the week 1 year ago, at 3:25am (the time this blog post went "live"), Eliza was brought out into this world and (cliche alert) changed our lives for the better and more than we'd imagined possible.  We love the change.

Eliza is sick again with a double ear infection.  It is breaking our hearts.  She's had 6 infections in 6 months.  Way.too.much.sickness.  And we do all we can to keep her health:  she's was 100% breast milk fed until starting solids and even with 3 meals a day still drinks 5 breast milk bottles a day; we run a humidifer in room each night; and we suction her nose when she gets stuffy.  But, she's just one of those babies that suffers from chronic ear infections despite what we try to do.

This means we have been referred to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist to have tubes placed.  Please keep Eliza in your thoughts & prayers as we go down the road that's now unavoidable.

Despite being sick we've had plenty of happy moments with our girl this week.  Enjoy!

Obligatory spaghetti picture!

This is great!

Refusing to eat without a bowl
Hanging out in CVS!
So not all our fun has involved food, but when Eliza is in her high chair it's the easiest to snap a picture!
